I'll be honest, i'm rather biased when it comes to natural hair. I prefer my musicians with it, my idols, my friends.... it's a matter of preference. Does it make a difference? For me yes. I surround my with that which reflects me. Not just the hair. I appreciate the sound. The meaning. In my friends, obviously we have way more commonalities... it's odd now that I think of it, I'm not sure I have any female friend with relaxed hair... I could be wrong... put i'm hard pressed...
